control
FAB Group stands out for its constant commitment to innovation and process optimization, ensuring the highest quality standards for its customers. To achieve this, each facility within the group is equipped with four ZEISS BOSELLO machines-advanced 2D X-ray inspection and tomography systems that enable highly precise and reliable quality control. Additionally, every facility is fitted with a 3D measuring machine, allowing for dimensional verification and statistical process capability monitoring with maximum accuracy.
Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technologies, FAB Group ensures continuous and in-depth monitoring at every stage of production.
ZEISS BOSELLO Machines: Key Advantages:
Fast defect detection: Immediate identification of porosity, inclusions, shrinkage, cracks, and vent holes.
2D X-ray technology: Sharp and detailed images for accurate verification.
Tomographic scanning: Essential for initial project verifications, qualification, and requalification phases, ensuring integrity and dimensional inspections using VG Studio Max and GOM software.
Non-destructive inspection: Automated or manual analysis without damaging components, thanks to an advanced Automatic Defect Recognition (ADR) software.
Flexible application: Customizable configurations to accommodate different part sizes and densities, optimizing quality control for every production need.
This uniform technological infrastructure, present in all group facilities—from the Italian sites in Vicenza and Brendola to the locations in Maia, Portugal, and Galanta, Slovakia—enables standardized inspection processes, enhancing overall quality and productivity while serving as a crucial risk analysis tool.

ELECTROMECHANICAL TENSILE TESTING MACHINE
At FAB Group, quality control is a top priority. To reinforce this, brand-new electromechanical material testing machines with a 200 kN load capacity for both tensile and compression tests have been recently installed at the Vicenza (Italy) and Galanta (Slovakia) facilities. Depending on customer specifications and project requirements, these machines allow for precise testing of material strength. This investment is a key addition to our quality laboratory, further affirming FAB Group’s commitment to high efficiency and excellence in die-cast production.
Precision Measurement Across Key Facilities
The three main FAB Group facilities – Vicenza, Galanta, and Porto – are equipped with advanced measurement systems to ensure maximum precision in dimensional verifications.
Each facility is fitted with a state-of-the-art measuring machine, including the latest GLOBAL Scan+ by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence at the Galanta center in Slovakia. This cutting-edge solution enables dimensional and geometric/form analysis through both contact probing and continuous scanning.
These machines can capture a high number of data points in a short time, providing highly precise measurements of functional part shapes and profiles. The integrated contact scanning feature allows for detailed and accurate data collection. Each system includes a multi-probe rack, enabling fast configuration changes during measurement programs without compromising the available measuring volume.

Innovative 3D Printing for Prototyping
A new 3D printer has been introduced at the FAB control center in Vicenza to enhance prototype development. This important addition allows for real-time project evaluation, early detection of potential issues, and overall improvement in final product quality.
With this new tool, our quality control department gains an asset that simplifies verification processes and ensures precise project setup. This enhances production efficiency, delivering high levels of precision and reliability to our customers. Through continuous innovation and technological advancements, FAB remains committed to product excellence and customer satisfaction.
